This version support up to 85W reverse PD charging for laptop via thunderbolt-compatible port. Solved the problem where the old version of 65W cannot meet the needs of some laptops.
TH3P4G3 thunderbolt compatible dock is used to connect the laptop with thunderbolt4/3 interface to external graphic card. Then the laptop can play games or do some work which need high performance graphics card.
Note
It does not support the Macbook with M1 and M2 chip.
When you use Mac OS for Macbook, it only support AMD version graphic card. And when you use Windows system for Macbook, it only support Nvidia version graphic card.

Item as described. I use it with a intel server network card (2x 10gbe SFP+). I could not test the whole bandwidth, but at least it works perfect with my 2.5gbe (USB) Synology. If you use it with network cards, make sure that you use a PCIe Gen 3 network card. I use it with a PCIe Gen 2 card (X520-DA2) but the bandwidth might be a little bit restricted for full 2x 10gbe – in theory, but not tested yet. according to HWinfo the network card is connected @ Gen2 x4.. When I have upgraded my server, I will check the full bandwidth. But for now, I am happy with the TH3P4G3!

I spent a long time researching eGPU’s for laptops. My current laptop has a MX450 (Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL) which is good, but my main machine has a GTX1660ti in it, and it stopped working. My main use is for image processing of Astrophotography images. Recent software advances take advantage of AI processing and in particular, CUDA. What would take 10 minutes with just the CPU (I7-1165G7) takes 50 seconds with the built in MX450. However, with the GTX1660ti and this eGPU adapter, it now takes 20 seconds. Very happy with the performace. The case itself is a bit complex to put together, and it is not all metal – the sides are perspex which I was not expecting. For my use (CUDA), it hardly raises a sweat and as it’s only exercising a part of the GPU, the fan doesn’t increase noticably. Very happy with this, and I hope it will last a long long time.
